Pickleball in Glendora

Glendora has eight lighted public pickleball courts split between Dawson Avenue Park and Finkbiner Park. The city also offers an online route for beginner instruction, private lessons, and league registration, giving residents more than simple court access.

Where to Play

  • Dawson Avenue Park: Four lighted public pickleball courts at 201 W Dawson Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. The park also has five lighted tennis courts. Check the official park page for current facility information.
  • Finkbiner Park: Four lighted public pickleball courts at 160 N Wabash Ave, Glendora, CA 91741, one block north of Foothill Boulevard between Wabash and Cullen avenues. The official park page also lists restrooms and other recreation amenities.

Both parks provide courts, but the city park pages do not publish a managed daily open play rotation. Bring a group or ask players on site how they mix in.

Lessons and Beginner Help

A beginner should start with the city's Adult Pickleball Intro program. Use the live Glendora pickleball activity search to find the current intro class and register. The same search lists intermediate instruction and private lesson options.

After the intro course, arrange practice at Dawson or Finkbiner with classmates. Do not assume general public court time includes a coach.

Open Play, Leagues, and Events

Glendora's activity system lists Coed Pickleball League options alongside lessons. Use the live search to review the active season, dates, fees, and registration status rather than relying on an older flyer.

For a nearby low cost indoor session, Cameron Park Community Center at 1305 E Cameron Ave, West Covina, CA 91790 runs pickleball open gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Adults pay $2, while seniors and children are free. The city parks at Dawson and Finkbiner are casual court access, not scheduled open play.

Playing as a Visitor

If you already have partners, Dawson and Finkbiner are the simplest visitor choices: select the closer park, bring paddles and balls, and plan around public court demand. Because no organized rotation is posted, a game is not guaranteed for a solo arrival.

A solo weekday visitor has a clearer route at Cameron open gym. Arrive during the Monday, Wednesday, or Friday session, check in at the front desk, and ask how players rotate on the three indoor courts.
